We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance or the 145 Maintenance Manager, the Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, inspections, alterations, and repairs on various aircraft models. The individual in this position must adhere to acceptable or approved data, including federal aviation regulations, manufacturer's recommendations, technical manuals, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
• A&P Certification
. Conduct a variety of mechanical duties on different aircraft models, including diagnosing malfunctions and performing required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, gauges, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation to assess and repair aircraft or articles.
• Utilize specialized equipment to repair or modify systems or assemblies.
• Work in accordance with established safety practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Comply with all regulations set forth by the FAA governing maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs made to airplanes.
• Assist in cleaning aircraft when necessary and maintain the hangar and work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Drive company vehicles to pick up and/or deliver parts or components, as required.
• Participate in test flights as needed.
• Provide support for aircraft maintenance off-site, as required.
• Assist in the movement of aircraft as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a mechanic.
• Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and gauges.
• Thorough understanding and adherence to applicable FAA regulations.
• Strong commitment to safety practices and adherence to established protocols.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and other personnel.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform essential job duties.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to work in various environments.

The pay range for this role is:
32 - 45 USD per hour (Pittsfield, MA)
