2ND SHIFT RENDERING SUPERVISOR HOURS: Floater/Must be flexible. DUTIES: Supervise, evaluate and direct production employees on shift in performing operations according to policies and procedures Stimulate maximize safety, efficiency, quality and productivity of production workers; ensure proper training of employees Anticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production. Work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in plant facility. Arrange for trucks and railroads cars to be filled with appropriate product when scheduled; complete necessary paperwork. Attend meetings as scheduled and called Perform other duties as needed or assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Must have overall knowledge of the Rendering Dept. and the industry Knowledge and technical skills in a variety of production jobs Must be people oriented, be able to understand employees needs, good motivator, and be able to teach new skills to employees Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures Good communications skills, both verbal and written Excellent organizational, math and statistical skills Good work history and attendance Team Player with leadership skills Bilingual and College preferred but not requiredWe are an equal opportunity employer.EOE/Vets/Disability
