1st Shift Mold Maintenance

Position Overview: Responsible for performing diversified duties related to the maintenance of molds and related manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to; cleaning, greasing, changeovers, inventory of mold supplies as well as review and supporting documentation.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Preventative maintenance of molds.
  • Mold insert changes
  • Minor mold repair as per engineering instructions
  • Polishing molds
  • Storage, Inventory and locations of molds
  • Storage, Inventory and locations of Inserts, tools and supplies
  • Shipping and receiving molds
  • Organization of mold shop
  • Communicating all mold issues to engineering
  • Training MFG personnel in changeovers with supporting documentation
  • Backup to set up position
  • Other projects as instructed by supervisor

Requirements

  • Must be able to use micrometers and calipers
  • Must work safe and use all safety precautions

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc.

  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Must understand and demonstrate all safety requirements for the use and handling of molds and equipment.

 Education and experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be an accomplished set up person with a working knowledge of mold storage and handling with minimum 1 year handling molds.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds with heavier weight necessary at times.
